Course Objective
To produce highly skilled quality software professionals who play vital role in bringing the technological changes in the world through leadership and innovation.
Developed with the objective to groom software professionals not mere as IT professionals, the vision of the program is to develop world class professionals with the strong value system. The program is aimed to-
- Encourage the student to be beyond the classroom and learn more on the basis of research and practical assignments.
- Enable them to develop a global perspective.
- Facilitate them to lay greater emphasis on anticipating and predicating the sound future through honing technical and interpersonal skills.
- Train them to be result oriented and promising by being good on both logic creation as well as its successful implementation.
- Develop into them people skills, leadership qualities and team orientation.
The Program
- Being an Information Technology program, the course will equip participations with fundamental computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Information Technology.
- Based on the way the computer education has evolved and the emerging market needs, the programmer focuses on imparting education covering both core computer software areas as well as carefully selected classic and contemporary elective courses.
- The program is challenging, the curriculum is rigorous and the selection procedure is highly competitive. As a result the Indore Institute of Science and Technology, Indore seeks candidate whose abilities, skills and personality indicate strong potential for success in future.
Program Design
Spread over eight semester in four years the program consist of 81 course (35 compulsory +8 elective course +28 laboratory courses +2 major projects +1 minor project +1 Industrial training) offering student the opportunity for specialization in the field of Information Technology. Each course engages classroom teaching of minimum 80 hours.
Teaching Pedagogy
One of the key strengths of IT from Indore Institute of Science and Technology is its verity and flexibility in the teaching pedagogy to be used to enable meaningful learning. Moreover, each one of our faculty members is encouraged to make use of rich basket of pedagogy consistent with the course learning requirement as well as overall focus of the IT.
Our teaching pedagogy combines lecture-cum-discussions, effective presentations, assignments, simulation & games, role plays, self-learning projects and also independent research. Teaching aids include computer, projectors etc. are used for class conduction.
Our high quality facilities and experienced staff at the library and computer laboratories are always there to support the learning experiences provided at the institute. Best of all, we wholeheartedly appreciate advance preparation and active participation of students which is required to further enrich the unique learning process at IIST.
