Sitting on this chair, I marvel on this journey of Indore Institute of Science & Technology, starting from year 2003 till today. IIST was established under Shail Education and welfare Society offering Under Graduate courses in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation with an intake of 240 students.

Over the years the institution has grown to a maximum allowed intake of 420 undergraduate students in engineering in the branches of Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. To encourage research orientation, post graduate courses in the branch of Mechanical and Electronics were added in the year 2010.

Day by day, the reputation of our institution is spreading at a high pace therefore the need for adding up more educational courses in also increasing. To meet this demand, IIST will be adding Computer Engineering and Electrical & Electronics from the year 2011-12 in its under graduate programme and Computer Science in post graduate programme. The institute is known for quality education clubbed with other activities striving towards making holistic individuals.

IIST also offers Masters in Business Administration to meet the growing requirement of management professionals. As large numbers of students are from semi urban areas, the college has established computerized Language Lab to upgrade their English communication skills.

For holistic development of students and make them ready to face corporate world, Personality Development is taken care of from the very first year by team of soft skills trainers. The IIST is affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal, DAVV Indore beside statutory affiliation to AICTE, Delhi, and DTE, Govt of MP. The institution has the distinction of being accredited by TCS for Campus Placement. It has also applied for NBA accreditation and awaiting their inspection visit.
